Basic Tags and Codes

This tutorial is for basic html tags and codes. I figured that if people were coming here, they might need them. Hopefully this will help some of you.
For basic hypertext links, they should look like this:

<a href="link.html">Link</a>

For a mail link, it should look like this:

<a href="">E-Mail</a>

For targeted links:

<a href="link.html" target="_blank">Link</a>

The above link will make a link popup in a new window. There are many different variations for this. If you are using frames and you want your links to not appear in your frame, but in the same window use:

Frames are labeled with names. To target links to a frame, figure out what the name of the frame you want your links to appear in is. Then target your links. This also applies to iFrames.

<a href="link.html" target="frame_name">Link</a>

If you want to make a link out of an image, use a code similiar to this:

<a href="link.html"><img src="image.jpg" width="100" height="100" border="0"></a>

To display an image, use this code:

<img src="image.jpg" width="100" height="100">
Well, I think that's about it. Hopefully this'll help you. Remember, these are just basic codes. If you want to learn html, go to my links page for sites with more detailed tutorials.
